Sittin at the BIG boy table

Here is my little guy all big at the TODDLER table at daycare... he thinks he's hot stuff!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Nathan's first Valentine's Day was the best! He was as cute as can be in his "I'm Bananas over Mommy" jammies (gee, I wonder who got him those???). Sean had a matching pair, but he was "too cool" to have his picture taken in them. :)

My little valentine

My bigger valetine (enjoying his bananas)!

Nathan - Nine month well-baby check up

Today was Nathan's nine month check up! YIKES! Do you know what that means??? His next check up will be his ONE YEAR! I'm so not ready for that one, but anywho...

The good news is he's very healthy and happy! The bad news (if you can call it "bad"), he had to get three shots that he wasn't able to get back at his six month appt. since he was sick. He was a trooper though! He also has thrush (not fun, but not uncommon) - it is treated with medicine that is administered four times a day for fourteen days. Good times! :-)

At first, Dr. Striegel was a little concerned with his height and weight, but then she said, "Wait a minute... let me look something up..." and pulled up Sean's stats. She turned back around and said, "Never mind - we're good!" She forgot that we make little babies!!! She said that he will probably be considered to have short stature as well, but that wasn't surprising! Plus, at least now I don't have to worry about Nathan being so much bigger than his "big" brother and kicking his you-know-what!

My sweet little guy weighs 16 lbs., 10 oz (2nd percentile) and is 27 1/8 inches (11th percentile). He may be little, but he's just a sweet as can be! He's crawling all over the place, loving any food he can feed himself (he's SO over baby food), babbles ALL the time and is just about as cute as they come!

I know I say it all the time, but we have the cutest boys in the world!!!

Fun on a snow day

We got a BUNCH of snow today (and it's still coming!) so the boys daycare was closed. Jamie and I split the day which was nice! I had to snap a few shots from this afternoon so you can see what the Lance boys do on a snow day.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Sean proudly showing off his Groundhog Day hat that he made at school. Isn't his teacher so creative?!? We love her...

Nathan's first Steak 'n Shake french fry... (and yes, he LOVED it!) :-)

The Lance Family Vacation - 2010

Last week, we all packed up for a vacation to Colorado! We spend a little time in Colorado Springs (where Jamie's Mom, Aunt Kelly, Sister and nieces all live), Fort Collins to visit our very good friends Will, Amy, Natalie and Baby Girl Snodgrass, and then in Denver to finish the trip with Jamie's Aunt Wendy (Sean's "Winnie")and Uncle Wade. It was a whirlwind trip but SO much fun! Here are some pictures from the week...

Nathan's FIRST airplane ride (he did AMAZING... so did Sean!)

Grandma Becky and Nathan (too cool to swim!) :-)

Swimming at our hotel with our nieces (Rachel, Rebecca and Reagan)

Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures of our time in Fort Collins where we stayed with the Snodgrasses. They were extremely gracious hosts (even making our FAVORITE lasagna!) and we miss them terribly already! Lucky for me, I get to go visit again in August after Baby girl Snodgrass makes her debut! Here is one of Sean and Natalie at dinner (isn't she just too cute?!?)

Wednesday, Aunt Wendy and Mindy (Jamie's cousin) took us to the Children's Museum. It was AMAZING! It was not busy at all (we picked the perfect time to go) and there was SO much to do for both kids. If you are ever in Denver, I highly recommend stopping to check it out! Lots of pictures below!

Nathan being too darn cute!!

Sean was fascinated with the "coin machine"... thankfully he was happy with pennies!

Mindy (Jamie's gorgeous cousin) and Mr. Nathan

Thursday, Wade, Wendy and Becky took the kiddos to this indoor water place and gave Jamie and I a chance to do some shopping! Sean really has a good time with Uncle Wade, but Nathan and Aunt Wendy had more fun splashing from what I hear!

That evening, Jamie and I met up with an old sorority sister of mine from good old SIU... we hadn't seen each other in over 10 years, so it was great to catch up! Here are Sean and Nathan hanging out at Wade and Wendy's.

Finally, our last night in Colorado we hit an old favorite - the aquarium! I still think I like this place better than anyone else in my family, but it's so stinkin' cool! It's as close to fish (sharks included) as I'll ever get!
