A beautiful day in the neighborhood

We have had unseasonably warm weather lately (20 degrees above normal), so we've been trying to spend as much time as possible outside.

There is this great little park just a couple of blocks from our house, and Sean LOVES going there every chance he can get. Little Mr. Nathan has really enjoyed it lately as well (after all, he is a big boy now you know)!

Here are a few pictures from Wednesday's outing... getting ready to go:

At the park (Big brother showing him how it's done):

My attempt at being a real "photographer":

Nathan has gotten the hang of the slide. He discovered that if he wiggles his bottom, just a little, it makes him go down! He LOVES it and would do it all night if we had the energy to keep up with him!

Nathan having fun on the swing:

Getting ready to go home (he's SO ready to walk):

And as you can see below, it's really tiring having so much fun (and being so cute). Poor little Nathan couldn't even make it the three blocks home!

Future Denver Nugget

Last year, Aunt Wendy sent these adorable Denver Nugget outfits for the boys. Sean fit into his at that time, but the smallest they had was 12 months... so Nathan had to wait a few months to wear his.

Well, the weather is perfect for the outfit, and Nathan fits into it at just the right time. So what to you think, future Nugget player??? Future cutie pie for sure!

If you look really closely in the first picture, you can even see too little teeth!

Let me drive!

What's the best thing about having two older boy cousins??? Well, there's lots of great things, but one of the best... hand me downs! Especially when they are as cool as this jeep!

Sean is still getting used to steering it, but all that time playing Mario Kart has paid off... he's pretty good! Nathan thinks it's hysterical and cracks up watching him drive. Needless to say, this is one hand me down that will get LOTS of use! ;)

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter this year! First, it was Nathan's FIRST Easter - so what a reason to celebrate! But we are so blessed to know the real reason behind the day, and even more blessed to know we are saved - eternally - for the Lord's ultimate sacrifice.

We invited Grandpa Jay to come to church with us, and we so pleased that he was able to attend! Unfortunately, Mindy was home with Rachel who was still recovery from surgery. We enjoyed a lovely service and came back to our house for brunch. It was so nice to visit with Jamie's Dad and for him to get to spend a little time with the boys. Of course he didn't come empty handed! No, the Easter Bunny must have stopped by his house too!

Sunday night we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for "hot dogs" (okay, it was actually ham, but Sean thought it was hot dogs and ate two very large pieces... so a hot dog it was!) We had a really nice time visiting with Mom and Dad, and of course the Stones. What a fun night that was (as is every Sunday night) to have FIVE boys having fun! Of course the weather cooperated, so they all got to spend some time outside running off some energy (energy that was partially thanks to Grandma and Grandpa's Easter candy!!) :-)

Although I'm thankful EVERY DAY for my family, I really felt blessed this weekend. I hope everyone had as wonderful of a day as we did!

Having an Easter snack!

I know every parent thinks that their baby has the cutest laugh, but seriously, how cute is this?

My Little Salukis

In Carbondale, there is a place called Silkworm. They do all kinds of embroidery, screen printing, etc. - basically a money maker in the college marketplace. When we went to the MVC Tournament, Silkworm had a mini "store" set up with all kinds of Saluki merchandise. You know me, I can never pass up Saluki gear, let alone stuff for the kiddos! Check the pictures out... you'll see why!

I just think Sean looks so old in this picture! Where did my baby go???

Just another Friday night...

Friday night I went out to dinner with some friends. All of the sudeen I get a tex sent to me from Jamie... only to see my two favorite little munchkins. He must have know I was missing them!
