Happy Halloween - Part 2

Every Sunday we head over to my parents house for a family dinner. Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year, we decided to just set a bowl of candy on our front porch and head over to their neighborhood to trick-or-treat. What was so great about this is that our boys got to share the experience with Nick and Kyle - which is always fun for them!

Sean really got into it this year, which was just a trip to watch. We told him we could only go to a house where the front porch lights were on, so you should have heard the excitement in his voice as he found one with them on! It was just too cute! Nathan was happy as a clam when someone gave him a box of junior mints. Apparently they make quite the rattle! :-) We hit about 10 houses and he was ready to head back to Grandma and Grandpa's (it was pretty chilly). Sean loved helping Grandpa open the door for trick-or-treaters so he could check out the costumes. Jamie stayed out with Nick and Kyle (I think he just wanted to score some more candy) - and man did they do well! All-in-all, it was a great night full of LOTS of treats! ;-)

Happy Halloween - Part 1

Last Friday, the boys' daycare had their annual Halloween parade. This year was quite chilly (VERY windy) so they had the little ones parade inside, and the older kids braved the weather outside.

Here are a few of my sweet little penguin

Although it was cold, the kiddos had a great time, and we enjoyed seeing all the wonderful costumes!

Nathan - 18 months

It's hard to believe that Nathan is 18 MONTHS! That just seems so old to me! Today was his well-baby visit (at least I still get to call it that) and I'm happy to report all is well! The doctor is very happy with how he is growing and progressing, which is music to this Mommy's ears! :-) Here are his stats:

Length: 30 7/8 inches (13.9%)
Weight: 20 lbs., 11 oz. (1.92%)

So basically he's tall (ish) and skinny! She said that his curve on the chart is just fine (even though his weight it low). He's quite the active little boy, so he burns a lot of calories.

Just because I always like to look back and see the differences (or similarities) between Nathan and Sean, here were Sean's stats at 18 months:

Length: 29 1/2 inches (0.06%)
Weight: 18 lbs., 6 oz. (1.25%)

The same or different, I just love my boys!!!

Crunchy leaves

What's the best part about Fall? Well, if you're four, then it's the crunchy leaves! :-) Sean has been asking (EVERY DAY) to play in the crunchy leaves. Finally this weekend, they were perfect! Somewhat crunchy (enough to make noise when you walk through them), but soft enough to fall into! Even Seabass got into it!

4 years / 18 months

I cannot believe that in less than one month, my sweet babies will be 4 years and 18 months respectively. Seriously, HOW is that possible? This Saturday, we went to Lake of the Woods to get their pictures taken (our photographer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G). Sean was freezing the entire time, so not the most cooperative he's ever been, and Nathan ran the opposite way we wanted him to (belly laughing the entire way, of course). Regardless, we got some fantastic shots that I can't wait to share with you all. We decided to stop off at the play area while we were there, to let them run off a little more of that energy. (Note: it paid off... they both took great naps!)

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Last week, we picked up our nephew Kyle from school, then headed to ABC to pick our our munchkins a little early and headed to Sidney to our favorite (and cheapest!) pumpkin patch. Sean had been talking about pumpkin patches at school, so he was really excited this year. Nathan LOVED being able to run around in the wide open spaces, but could care less about me taking his picture (he has to sit still for that). Needless to say, there aren't many pictures of him!
