Relaxing weekend

Okay, so I know I may be a little biased, but it's my blog so I don't care! :-) But our kids are the cutest creatures on this planet! Seriously...

This weekend we didn't have too much going on, so we got to be lazy on Saturday morning... that's always a nice treat! Here are some pictures of the Lance boys just chillin!

And we certainly can't forget the rest of the Lance family enjoying a relaxing Saturday too (please excuse the unmade bed!) :-)

Daddy = Giggle

Generally, Sean can get the biggest smile and/or laugh out of Nathan... more so than me or Jamie. But sometimes Daddy is just plain silly!!!

Nathan - 4 month check-up

My poor little baby... he's been battling this silly cold for six days now. But, at his four month check-up today (of which we got to see his regular pediatrician) she confirmed that his lungs and ears are nice and clear, and that he is on the back end of this nasty cold! THANK GOODNESS! It breaks my heart to hear him coughing so much and so hard. :-(

But, other than this cold, he's a healthy, growing little boy! Here are his stats:

Weight: 13.8 pounds (18th percentile)
Height: 25 inches (45th percentile)

Of course I looked at Sean's baby book this morning to see what he was at four months, just out of curiosity. Sean weighted 12.4 pounds and was 24 inches! He's going to be my big boy!!!

She said that since he is such a wiggler (yes, it's a word), and that since he's rolling all over the place, we could start baby food next week! Hard to believe that he's old enough for that - we just started cereal after all! Hopefully this will help keep with the reflux and keep him full enough to sleep through the night (or at least only get up once). All that movin' and a shakin' just burns so many calories!

No shots today since he's getting over the cold. WHEW!

Thank you Aunt Wendy and Aunt Kelly!

Today Sean and Nathan received a package in the mail with clothes from Aunt Wendy and Aunt Kelly. Aunt Kelly got Nathan a darling outfit for Halloween, and Aunt Wendy got the boys Denver Nuggets warm up outfits. Sean was super excited and wanted to try his on, but Nathan was already asleep so his will have to wait.

Here's Sean stylin':

Nathan's first cereal

Well, technically he's had cereal in his bottle a few times to help with the acid reflux, but today we tried it with a spoon for the first time! Not a shock, but my little piggy LOVED it! In fact, we even had to make more!!! Now, we'll see how he sleeps tonight! ;-)

He's been feeling under the weather for the last few days, but a trip to the doctor today proved it to just be a good old fashioned cold (thankfully). He looks a little tired in the pictures, but super happy... you would have thought he was getting biscuits and gravy!

I will warn you - there are a lot of pictures... Mommy couldn't choose just one (or ten)! :-)

Getting ready to dig in:

And... when all the cereal is cleaned off of his feet/hair/ears, here's my clean - and full - baby!!

Big boy pants!!!!!!!!

Yes, we are that excited! (At least we act it to Sean...) We are now in the potty training phase of PULL-UPS! WOO-HOO!

Here he is stylin' in his big boy pants and his "new" Bruce hat!

4 months old!

Seriously, how is this possible??? My baby is four months old! Here's what all he's doing these days:

*Rolls from back to belly almost every time (prefers his belly, just like his brother!)
*Sitting up supported
*Hanging in the Bumbo more and more
*Will sit in the exersaucer for about five minutes
*Is now getting two bottles with rice cereal in it to help with his acid reflux (also know as massive puking). LOVES it!
*Sleeps really well - gets up one to two times throughout the night
*Smiles CONSTANTLY, and mostly for his big brother!
*Will carry on a "conversation" with you
*Loves bathtime
*Belly laughs
*Seriously needs a haircut
*Goes through about six outfits a day (and usually Mommy and Daddy get a couple of changes in there too!) thanks to the puking.

That's just a few of the highlights... he really is an amazing baby! God has truly blessed our family! His official 4 month check up is on the 9th, so I'll have more to post then. For now, enjoy these photos from today! Look how much he's changed! (Oh, and yes, there are two different outfits for the "photo shoot"... hence the massive puking.) *Sigh*... he's lucky he's so cute! :-)

Lincoln Balloon fest

I've really tried to keep us active this summer and try new and different things around central Illinois. One thing I thought Sean would really like is the hot air balloon fest in Lincoln. We packed up the car last Saturday and headed over (which for the record, stick with a good 'ole map and forget mapquest!). We ended meeting up with a former sorority sister of mine and her family (I haven't seen her in almost 11 years!)... that was by far the best part! They have a daughter who really took to Sean (they were so funny together) and a son who is one month younger than Sean.

Sean loved the balloons (they were "eh"...), and Nathan just took everything in and smiled the whole time! The weather was almost perfect(almost too cool if you can believe it) but it was a little windy, so there weren't many balloons that were able to go up, but it was still a neat experience!
